Hanni, a Vietnamese-Australian member of K-pop group NewJeans, has become a Gucci brand ambassador in South Korea.

The Italian fashion house said in a press release that it chose Hanni for her unique charm and style.

She joins singer IU and actor Lee Jung-jae as an ambassador.

Pham Ngoc Han, 18, debuted earlier this year in the new five-member K-pop girl band with the stage name Hanni.

Her father is from Hanoi and her mother is from Ho Chi Minh City, and they live in Australia.

She used to be a member of the Aemina Dance Crew in Melbourne that covers the choreography of Kpop groups like Red Velvet and ITZY.

In July 2021, she appeared in a music video for K-pop super group BTS’s number one hit “Permission to Dance” and instantly attracted attention.

She can speak Vietnamese, English and Korean.

The group was launched in late July by All Doors One Room (Ador), a label under the HYBE group, which also manages BTS.
