Art company from the United States, MSCHF will release a shoe that has become viral, namely the MSCHF Big Red Boot exclusively on February 16, 2023 at 11.00 local time.
It is planned that the shoes produced by the Brooklyn-based art group will be launched for US$350 or around Rp.5.2 million on the mschf.com website and the MSCHF Sneakers application.
These boots were leaked over the weekend, and like previous releases from MSCHF, they made social media buzz for their unique design.
The silhouette appears to be inspired by the footwear worn by the classic manga animated cartoon character “Astro Boy”, as well as the boots worn by the monkey Boots in “Dora the Explorer”. The upper of the MSCHF Big Red Boot is built almost entirely from a polycarbonate TPU shell, with EVA foam used for the outsole.
MSCHF’s sneaker release first caught fans’ attention with the Air Max 97 “Jesus” special in 2019, followed by its “Satan” sequel which earned them a lawsuit from Nike.
Last year, MSCHF launched its own sneaker program which included releases like the Wavy Baby Shoe, the Gobstomper and the AC.1 boot.
